Anamul Haque Bijoy Becomes First Bangladeshi to Score 50 Centuries in Recognized Cricket

Anamul Haque Bijoy has made history by becoming the first Bangladeshi cricketer to reach the milestone of 50 centuries in recognized cricket. With this feat, he now holds the record for the most centuries by any Bangladeshi batsman across formats.

Bijoy achieved this landmark today during a Dhaka Premier League (DPL) match, playing for Gazi Group Cricketers against Legends of Rupganj. His unbeaten 110-run knock marked his 23rd century in List A cricket and his 50th in total when combining first-class, List A, and T20 formats.

Out of his 50 centuries, only three have come at the international level — all in One Day Internationals. Anamul, who has played 74 ODIs for Bangladesh, has scored the majority of his tons in domestic cricket, including a remarkable 24 centuries in first-class cricket.

His latest innings not only marked a personal milestone but also helped secure a dominant win for Gazi Group. Chasing 224, Anamul guided his team to victory with 9 overs and 7 wickets to spare. He remained unbeaten on 110 off 105 balls, striking 10 fours and a six.

This achievement cements Anamul Haque Bijoy’s legacy as one of the most prolific run-scorers in Bangladesh's domestic cricket history.
