Two New Faces in Zimbabwe's Test Squad; Sikandar Raza Absent

Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) has announced their squad for the series against Ireland. The teams will face off in a multi-format series in February. The series kicks off with a single Test match on February 6 at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo. The three-match ODI series will take place on February 14, 16, and 18, followed by the three-match T20I series on February 22, 23, and 25.

The Test squad includes two new faces: 27-year-old leg-spinner Vincent Masekesa and 26-year-old top-order batter Nicholas Welch. However, Dion Myers and Tadiwanashe Marumani have been left out of the red-ball squad. Experienced all-rounder Sikandar Raza will also miss the Test match as he had already committed to playing franchise cricket before the schedule was finalized.

Zimbabwe has made two changes to their ODI squad, bringing in Wesley Madhevere and Nyasha Mayavo. In the T20I squad, Jonathan Campbell, Tony Munyonga, and Mayavo have earned spots, while Faraz Akram and Takudzwanashe Kaitano have been excluded from the format.
