New Zealand Announces ODI and T20I Squads Against Sri Lanka With Surprises
New Zealand has unveiled their squads for the ODI and T20I series against Sri Lanka, featuring a few surprises. Mitchell Santner will lead the 16-member squad in both formats. The T20I series will mark the international debut of Bevon Jacobs.
Out of the 16 players, 10 are set to play in both formats. Among the remaining six, Bevon Jacobs, Jack Fulks, and Tim Robinson are selected exclusively for the T20I series, while Will Young, Tom Latham, and William O’Rourke will only feature in the ODIs.
Key players Kane Williamson and Devon Conway are absent from the series. Ben Sears and Kyle Jamieson miss out due to injuries, while Matt Henry returns to the squad. Additionally, New Zealand's head coach Gary Stead will not be part of the Sri Lanka series, with Luke Ronchi stepping in as interim head coach.
Match Schedule:
T20I Series: December 28, 30, and January 2.
ODI Series: January 5, 8, and 11.
