Curator Tony Hemming to leave Bangladesh
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced that Curator Tony Hemming has resigned from his position. Tony Hemming is a well-known name in cricket turf management.
In July 2023, the Bangladesh Cricket Board appointed Tony Hemming on a two-year contract. However, the relationship has ended after just one year. Today, the BCB confirmed Hemming's departure through a press release.
BCB CEO Nizam Uddin Chowdhury thanked Hemming for his valuable contributions during his tenure:
"Tony Hemming has been an invaluable asset to the BCB, bringing his extensive knowledge and experience to enhance our cricketing infrastructure. His meticulous approach and dedication have raised the bar for ground preparation in Bangladesh, leaving a lasting impact on our facilities."
The BCB extends its best wishes to Tony Hemming for his future endeavors.
Before coming to Bangladesh, Tony Hemming was a cricket turf specialist and consultant for the WACA in Australia. He also served as the Head Curator of the ICC Cricket Academy and Dubai International Cricket Stadium, and as an ICC Pitch Consultant for Oman Cricket Academy. Hemming has also held several other notable positions throughout his distinguished career.
