Rishabh Pant apologises for his 'damaging' shot
Last night, Rishabh Pant scored an impressive 88 runs from just 43 balls in a match against the Gujarat Titans. He truly caused a storm with the bat. During the match, a powerful six hit by Pant accidentally injured a cameraperson from the BCCI production crew. After the match, Pant sincerely apologized and sent a heartfelt message to the injured cameraperson, demonstrating sportsmanship and empathy.
Pant later apologized and sent a special message addressed to him. The Delhi Capitals' captain also received the 'Player of the Match' award last night. In the final over against Mohit Sharma, Pant smashed four sixes and a four, scoring a total of 30 runs. This marks the eighth time Pant has scored over 20 runs in an over in the IPL. During the fourth delivery of the over, Pant's powerful six unfortunately hit a cameraperson.
In a video posted on the microblogging website 'X' by the official Indian Premier League account, Pant is seen standing next to head coach Ricky Ponting, sending his best wishes to the cameraperson.
"I am sorry, Debashish Bhai. It was not my intention to hurt you, but I hope you recover quickly. Best wishes!"
Before the start of the IPL, no one could have anticipated seeing Rishabh's batting storm so soon. After being severely injured in a car accident, Rishabh was just about to return to the IPL. Everyone was waiting to see how Pant would play. Not only did he play, but as days passed, he performed increasingly well.
