In the Legends Championship, Pakistan Champions secured a thrilling 5-wicket victory over Australia Champions.
At Edgbaston Cricket Stadium in Birmingham, Australia batted first and scored 189 runs for 7 wickets. Shaun Marsh scored 16 runs off 20 balls. Aaron Finch played a brilliant innings of 68 runs off 40 balls, which included 3 sixes and 9 fours.
For Australia, Ben Dunk scored 27 runs off 18 balls, and Callum Ferguson remained unbeaten with 26 runs off 16 balls. Towards the end, Nathan Coulter-Nile's 15 runs off 10 balls helped Australia reach a total of 189.
For Pakistan, Shahid Afridi and Shoaib Malik each took 2 wickets.
Chasing a target of 190, Pakistan did not have a good start. Sharjeel Khan and Kamran Akmal were out for 17 and 4 runs, respectively. However, Shoaib Maqsood and Shoaib Malik started to recover from the early setbacks.
The 5th wicket partnership between Younis Khan and Misbah-ul-Haq took the team towards victory. This partnership yielded 90 runs. Younis Khan was out after scoring 63 runs off 41 balls. Towards the end, Shahid Afridi played a short innings of 11 runs off 5 balls. Misbah remained unbeaten with 46 runs off 30 balls.
For Australia, Brett Lee and Nathan Coulter-Nile took 2 wickets each.
