Bangladesh Dominates West Indies in a Thrilling Morning Session in Kingston Test
Bangladesh bowlers, led by the fiery pace of Nahid Rana, dominated the entire morning session of Day 3 in the Kingston Test against the West Indies. The home side, which began the day at 1 wicket for 70 runs, quickly crumbled, losing 7 wickets in a dramatic collapse. The trio of Nahid Rana, Hasan Mahmud, and Taskin Ahmed put on an absolute pace assault, leaving the West Indies in disarray.
Having to chase Bangladesh's modest total of 164 runs, the West Indies were reduced to 8 wickets for 135 runs. They are still 29 runs behind Bangladesh, with only 2 wickets remaining.
In the first session of Day 3, 25 overs were bowled in which Bangladesh claimed 7 wickets for just 65 runs. The West Indies' tail-end resistance was provided by Kemar Roach (6*) and Shamarh Brooks (5*), who both remained unbeaten.
Nahid Rana was the standout performer, having bowled 16 overs, conceding 57 runs, and taking 4 wickets. His destructive pace completely shattered the West Indies' batting line-up in the first hour of play. Following his success, Taskin Ahmed and Hasan Mahmud joined the wicket-taking party, further reducing the hosts to a precarious position.
The highest scorer for the West Indies was Kacey Carty, who made 40 runs. Captain Craig Brathwaite also fought hard, contributing 39 runs. However, aside from these two, all other West Indian batsmen were dismissed for single-digit scores.
With two wickets left and a 29-run deficit, the West Indies are on the verge of being bowled out for a very low total, leaving Bangladesh with a good chance to take a significant lead in the match.
