Shakib Al Hasan, a prominent figure in the Bangladesh national cricket team, will not be available for at least the first two matches of the upcoming series against Zimbabwe. While his teammates are occupied with the Dhaka Premier League (DPL) and practice sessions, Shakib is currently spending time with his family in the United States. On social media platforms, Shakib humorously observes the diverse thoughts and arguments of people, stating that it amuses him to see the variety of opinions online.

During an event in the United States, Shakib shared, "When I'm in America, I find more time to spend on Facebook, which I don't get when I'm home. It's somewhat funny to see all the speculations and thoughts of people on social media. Whatever decision has been made regarding my participation has been discussed and agreed upon with the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), as it's also important to test various team combinations."

Shakib is set to miss the first two matches of the home series against Zimbabwe. However, he could potentially return for the third T20 match in Chittagong, provided his fitness level is satisfactory. Prior to the Zimbabwe series, Shakib will play in the DPL Super League for Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club.

Addressing the confusion and rumors regarding his participation in the series, Shakib clarified, "I will definitely play in the Zimbabwe series. There seems to be some confusion about this back home, and a lot of discussions on social media whether I will join from the start or play in the DPL... I had already discussed this with the coach and captain beforehand. The coach mentioned that playing two matches would be sufficient, then I talked with the captain and selectors, and they suggested playing two or three matches would be beneficial for us. I agreed with no issue. This is the decision that has been made, and I see there's a lot of unnecessary confusion about it back home."

Shakib emphasized that his match participation is based on discussions with the team management and not solely his personal preference. He mentioned that there would be two matches in the Dhaka Premier League before the last three matches against Zimbabwe, providing not only a chance to play but also to prepare well.

In summary, Shakib Al Hasan's involvement in the early matches of the Zimbabwe series is ruled out due to prior commitments and discussions with team management, and he finds the ensuing speculation on social media amusing and unnecessary.
