The win seemed elusive for Royal Challengers Bengaluru. But that elusive victory finally came. In Thursday's match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Virat Kohli's team clinched a 35-run victory. Bengaluru, batting first on Hyderabad's pitch, scored 206 runs, losing 7 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. In response, Hyderabad could only manage to score 171 runs, losing 8 wickets in 20 overs.

Hyderabad's pursuit of a modest 200-run target didn't start well. Due to the onslaught from Abidha Mela in particular, even the target of 200 seemed distant. However, this time the battle was fought against Kohli's team.

Hyderabad bowlers kept the pressure on the opponents from the beginning, as reflected on the scoreboard. After five overs, they had the opponent at 56 runs, losing 4 wickets. Abhishek Sharma's innings of 31 runs off 13 balls was impactful.

Subsequently, Shahbaz Ahmed's unbeaten 40 (37) runs and Pat Cummins' 31 (15) runs didn't contribute significantly to a substantial partnership. Only the margin narrowed.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru's bowlers, including Navdeep Saini, Karun Sharma, and Cameron Green, took 2 wickets each.

Before Bengaluru's innings, there were two fifities, one of which was from Virat Kohli's bat. However, Kohli's innings had a slightly lower strike rate. He scored 51 runs off 43 balls.

Rajat Patidar's 50 runs off 20 balls proved fruitful for Bengaluru. Cameron Green's unbeaten 37 runs off 20 balls, combined with a late surge, helped the team reach a double-century mark.

On the bowling front for Sunrisers Hyderabad, Jaydev Unadkat took the most wickets, claiming 3 wickets.
