Bangladesh win a Test in the West Indies after a gap of 15 years

After a 15-year wait, Bangladesh has finally won a Test match in the West Indies, defeating the hosts by 101 runs in the second Test of the series in Kingston. West Indies were bowled out for 185 runs in their second innings, giving Bangladesh a historic victory. This win not only marked Bangladesh's first Test victory in the West Indies since 2009 but also leveled the series at 1-1.

After losing the first Test by 201 runs in Antigua, Bangladesh had to win the second Test in Sabina Park to bring the series to parity. They achieved that by dismissing West Indies for just 185 in their second innings. This historic win came after a brilliant performance by Taijul Islam, who took 5 wickets for 50 runs in the second innings, helping bowl out the hosts quickly.

The game-changing moments came from both the bowlers and the batters. In the first innings, it was the fiery spell from Nahid Rana, who took 5 wickets, while in the second innings, it was the aggression from the batters, with Zakir Ali Onik’s outstanding 91 runs playing a pivotal role in setting a competitive target.
