India secured a 42-run victory against Zimbabwe in the fifth and final T20I of the series in Harare. After a dismal performance in the first match of the five-match T20I series, Shubman Gill's team made a remarkable comeback, winning the next four matches consecutively to conclude the series with a 4-1 win.

Even in the dead rubber match, India displayed dominance, ending their Zimbabwe tour with a series win. The young Indian team won the series last night and capped it off with another victory in the final match, defeating Zimbabwe by 42 runs. Washington Sundar, who took 8 wickets and scored 28 runs throughout the series, was named Player of the Series.

After losing the toss, India batted first and posted a total of 167 runs for the loss of 6 wickets. In response, Zimbabwe was bowled out for 125 runs before completing their allotted overs.

Among the Indian batters, wicketkeeper-batsman Sanju Samson top-scored with a crucial 58 runs off 45 balls, hitting 4 sixes and 1 four. Shivam Dube also contributed with a quick 26 runs off 12 balls.

Zimbabwe's chase got off to a poor start as opener Wesley Madhevere was dismissed without scoring. Other notable contributions came from Tadiwanashe Marumani (27), Brian Bennett (10), Dion Myers (34), and Faraz Akram (27), but the rest of the batsmen failed to make significant impacts against the Indian bowlers. Zimbabwe's innings ended at 125 runs in 18.3 overs. Indian bowler Mukesh Kumar stood out by taking four wickets.

India's comprehensive performance throughout the series, marked by a young and energetic squad, showcased their potential and depth, culminating in a well-deserved series victory against Zimbabwe.
