The squad of 15 members of the United States has been announced for the T20 series against Canada. This includes the inclusion of former New Zealand cricketer Corey Anderson. The series will begin on April 7th. Before the T20 World Cup, the tournament host country, the United States, will play a series of 5 matches against Canada.

Anderson, who last played cricket in New Zealand's jersey in 2018, has relocated to the United States to play Major League Cricket (MLC). Therefore, he faces no obstacles in playing for the national team of the United States. Anderson has already scored tremendously in Minor League Cricket, with 28 innings, a strike rate of 146, and 900 runs.

In international cricket, Anderson has played 13 tests, 49 ODIs, and 31 T20 matches for New Zealand. He began his journey in the Kiwi jersey in 2013. He was also part of the New Zealand team in the 2015 ODI World Cup, where they reached the tournament final.

Apart from Anderson, former Indian under-19 team player Harmeet Singh, former Canadian captain Nitish Kumar, and South African-born star player Andries Gous have also found opportunities in the United States squad. Despite being the highest run-scorer in Minor League history, former Indian under-19 captain Unmukt Chand did not make it to this squad.

Monank Patel will serve as the captain of the United States team. They will play 5 matches against Canada from April 7th to 13th. Additionally, they will play a series against Bangladesh in May.

Captain Patel said, "With the ICC T20 World Cup coming up, this series is extremely important for us."

"We have some new players in our squad, and these matches will help us find the right combination and prepare well for the World Cup."
