India have won the toss and have opted to bat
Bangladesh is set to face India in the final T20 match of their tour, looking to avoid a whitewash after losing the Test series and the first two T20s. Led by Najmul Hossain Shanto, the team won the toss and opted to bat first. Jaker Ali Anik and Mehidy Hasan Miraz, who both struggled in the previous matches, have been replaced by Tanzid Tamim and Sheikh Mehdi. This match also marks the last T20 for Mahmudullah Riyad, who is retiring from the format.
The match will take place at 7:30 PM at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. India has made one change to their lineup, while Bangladesh has made two.
In the previous match at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, India set a daunting target of 222 runs, which Bangladesh could only chase down to 135 runs, resulting in an 86-run loss.
To avoid a whitewash in both formats, Bangladesh must win this match; otherwise, they will face the embarrassment of being swept in the T20 series as well. Historically, Bangladesh has struggled against India in T20s, winning only 1 out of 16 matches.
