Schedule Finalized for Bangladesh’s Tour of Pakistan, Captain Shanto Excited
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has unveiled their home international schedule for the 2024-25 season, which includes hosting Bangladesh for a series of matches.
In August, the Bangladesh team will tour Pakistan to play two Test matches. These matches will be held in Rawalpindi and Karachi.
The first Test is scheduled to begin on August 21 in Rawalpindi. After that, both teams will move to Karachi, where the second Test will start on August 30.
Bangladesh last played a Test in Pakistan in February 2020. The upcoming Test matches are part of the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25.
Nizamuddin Chowdhury, the Chief Executive Officer of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), expressed his gratitude to the PCB for finalizing the schedule. He stated, "We thank the PCB for announcing the schedule for Bangladesh’s tour of Pakistan. This series is a significant test for us and a chance to showcase our progress in this format."
Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto said, "As a team, we are eager to go to Pakistan and compete in the ICC World Test Championship. Playing in Pakistan is always challenging and exhilarating. We will need to give our best against a strong team on their home ground."
Schedule for the Bangladesh-Pakistan Series:
August 21-25: 1st Test, Rawalpindi
August 30-September 3: 2nd Test, Karachi
