Stamford University Intra-University Cricket Tournament 2024 Inaugurated

The Intra-University Cricket Tournament 2024, organized by the Stamford University Bangladesh Sports Club, was inaugurated on Saturday (23 November).

The opening ceremony’s chief guest, Professor Dr. Moniruzzaman, Honorable Vice-Chancellor of Stamford University Bangladesh, officially declared the tournament open by unveiling the trophy and ball.

Also present were the Convener of the Stamford University Sports Club, Mr. Md. Golam Rabbani, along with special guests including Deputy Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Yunus Mia, Registrar Md. Abdul Matin, Treasurer Professor Dr. Ziaul Hasan, Dean of the Faculty of Business Professor Dr. Jamal Uddin Ahmed, Dean of the Department of Environmental Science Professor Dr. Ahmed Kamruzzaman Majumdar, Chairperson of the Department of Environmental Science Dr. Mahamuda Parvin, Chairperson of the Department of Engineering Farhana Chowdhury, as well as faculty members, officials, and students from various departments.

Additionally, the Coordinator of the Sports Club, Touhidul Islam Limon, and all club members were present.

It is notable that 16 teams from 12 departments will participate in this tournament. The final match is scheduled for 30 November 2024, where trophies will be awarded to the champion and runner-up teams.
