Shakib Al Hasan Opens Up About Politics, Returning Home and Uncertainty
Since entering politics, Shakib Al Hasan has remained at the center of public attention. However, following the recent political changes in the country, the discussion surrounding him has taken on a new dimension. The former Bangladesh captain, who has been living abroad for a long time, recently spoke openly in a podcast about his political decisions, the current realit of the country, and the uncertainty surrounding his return home.
Speaking about being elected as a Member of Parliament under the Awami League banner, Shakib said, “Earlier, I used to see everyone supporting the Awami League, but now I see no one does.”
When asked whether he had any regrets about joining politics, Shakib said he does not feel remorse over his decision.
He also spoke about the uncertainty of returning to the country in the current situation, saying, “Right now, even setting foot in Dhaka is a major concern.”
Shakib further added, “I was never Shakib Al Hasan in Magura, I was always Faisal.”
