India has clinched the T20 World Cup after 17 long years, and within a day, three cricketers have bid farewell to international T20 cricket. Michael Vaughan expressed his thoughts on Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Ravindra Jadeja by saying, "They should have won more trophies."
Following India's World Cup victory, the three veteran cricketers announced their retirement from international T20 cricket. Vaughan commented on their retirement by saying, "They should have won more white-ball trophies"; reflecting on the trio's illustrious careers. According to Vaughan, Rohit, Kohli, and Jadeja deserved to win more ICC titles.
Speaking on the Club Prairie Fire podcast, Vaughan said, "They should have won more white-ball trophies. Rohit should have won another one or two trophies."
With the end of a 17-year wait for a second T20 World Cup title, a golden chapter in Indian cricket has come to a close in this format. After a nerve-wracking final in Barbados, where India secured a dramatic seven-run victory against South Africa, Virat Kohli, who was the player of the match, announced his retirement from international T20 cricket. In a subsequent press conference, India's World Cup-winning captain, Rohit Sharma, also announced his retirement from international T20 cricket.
