Delhi Capitals Coach Ricky Ponting has expressed dissatisfaction with his team's bowling and fielding performance. On Wednesday night, Delhi faced a defeat against Kolkata Knight Riders. Kolkata scored 272 runs while batting first. In response, Delhi managed to score only 166 runs before losing all their wickets.

Kolkata Knight Riders set the second-highest team total in IPL history. They didn't find any resistance from Delhi Capitals, even on their home ground in Visakhapatnam.

After the loss, Ponting said, "It's a bit hard to accept now." He further added, "I feel a bit frustrated after watching the performance in the first innings. Conceding so many runs! I think we gave away 17 wides and it took almost two hours to complete each over."

"There are many things that happened in this match that are not acceptable. There are a lot of matters to discuss, which we will do together tonight. We need to sort out these issues to progress in the tournament."

Kolkata scored 88 runs in the first six overs, losing just one wicket. Sunil Narine played a crucial role by scoring 85 runs off 39 balls. Other Kolkata batters also contributed significantly to their team's impressive total.

Delhi Capitals are currently in ninth place on the points table, with just one win and three losses in four matches. Their next match is against Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Stadium on Sunday. Mumbai Indians are yet to win any match in the tournament.
