Riyan Parag is proving to be a valuable asset for the Rajasthan Royals, batting at number 4. This young batsman, at just 22 years old, played another winning innings for Rajasthan. In Monday's match (April 1st) of the Indian Premier League (IPL), he scored 54 runs off 39 balls against the Mumbai Indians.

A few days ago, the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy concluded, where Parag, batting at number 4, amassed 510 runs at an average of 85 and a strike rate of 182.79. This consistency has carried over to the IPL.

Parag's recent performance has been remarkable. He played three innings, akin to a bowler's spell. Against Mumbai Indians, he played an unbeaten inning of 54 runs off 39 balls, against Delhi Capitals, an unbeaten inning of 84 runs off 45 balls, and against the Lucknow Super Giants, an inning of 43 runs off 29 balls. With these performances, Parag now leads the run chart alongside Virat Kohli.

After the match against Mumbai Indians, Parag said, "When I play at home, I go in to bat in these situations."

"When Jos Buttler and Ravichandran Ashwin got out shortly, I thought this is my time to step up. I've been doing this for the last six months in domestic cricket. It's very natural for me to assess the situation," he added.

In past seasons, Parag has been entrusted with the responsibility of finishing for Rajasthan. He has not shied away from any responsibility during that time. He has played in various ways, analyzed mistakes, and found ways to bat in challenging situations. From there, this success is now apparent.
