The ICC has revealed the name of the new number one T20 all-rounder: England's Liam Livingstone has climbed to the top of the T20 all-rounder rankings for the first time. He moved up seven places to secure the number one position, displacing Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis. Bangladesh's Shakib Al Hasan has dropped one spot to fourth.
Liam Livingstone's rise to the top comes after a strong performance in the home series against Australia. This marks Livingstone's career-best ranking, with a rating of 253. In the two-match series against Australia, he scored 124 runs at a strike rate of 167 and took five wickets.
The top five in the T20 all-rounder rankings has seen further changes. With Livingstone's ascent, Marcus Stoinis has fallen to second place with a rating of 211, trailing Livingstone by 42 points. Zimbabwe's Sikandar Raza is in third with a rating of 208, while Shakib Al Hasan now occupies fourth with a rating of 206. Sri Lanka's Wanindu Hasaranga shares the same rating as Shakib but ranks fifth.
Additionally, Livingstone has also improved his position in the batting rankings, leaping 17 spots to reach 33rd place. Australian batsman Travis Head solidified his top position by scoring 90 runs in the two-match series.
