Nayeem Expresses Gratitude Through a Facebook Message

Bangladesh national cricket team spinner Nayeem Hasan has accused police of assaulting and harassing him, an incident that has sparked widespread controversy. Nayeem alleged that he was physically abused on two occasions during the incident that took place in Chattogram’s Lalkhan Bazar area on Friday night.

Following the incident, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), journalists, and members of the public have all stood by Nayeem. On Sunday, he shared a message on Facebook expressing his gratitude to everyone for their support. His statement is reproduced below:

“Assalamu Alaikum,

First of all, Alhamdulillah. By the infinite mercy of Allah, I am safe and recovering.

I would like to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who came forward to help me immediately after the incident. To those who rushed to assist me and stood by me during those critical moments—thank you from the bottom of my heart. I may not know all of your names, but I will never forget your humanity and kindness.

I am also overwhelmed by the love and concern shown by my fans, friends, colleagues, well-wishers, and everyone who called, messaged, visited, and prayed for me. Your support has given me immense strength during this difficult time.

I sincerely apologize if I could not answer all your calls or respond to every message.

Please continue to keep me and my family in your prayers. May Allah protect us all from harm, grant us good health, and reward every person who helped and prayed for me with His endless blessings.
