Mohammad Haris will captain Pakistan Shaheens
Mohammad Haris has been appointed as the captain of the Pakistan Shaheens' white-ball team for the upcoming series in Darwin, Australia, from August 4-18. The series includes two one-day matches and a T20 tournament featuring nine teams.
Haris recently led the Pakistan Shaheens to victory in the ACC Men's Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2023 in Colombo, where they defeated India by 128 runs in the final.
The Pakistan Shaheens are already in Darwin for two four-day matches against Bangladesh 'A', scheduled from July 19-22 and July 26-29. Before the T20 series begins on August 9, Pakistan will play their 50-over matches on August 4 and 6 against Northern Territory and Bangladesh 'A'.
The teams participating in the T20 series include ACT Comets, Bangladesh 'A', Melbourne Renegades, Melbourne Stars, Perth Scorchers, Northern Territory Strike, Adelaide Strikers, and Tasmania.
For the white-ball matches, seven changes have been made to the squad. Abdul Faseeh, Arafat Minhas, Arif Yaqoob, Jahanzeb Khan, Mohammad Haris, Mohammad Imran Junior, and Usman Khan will replace Kamran Ghulam, Khurram Shehzad, Mehran Mumtaz, Mohammad Ali, Mubasir Khan, Tayyab Tahir, and Umar Amin.
