Khulna Tigers Triumph Over Rangpur Riders, Set to Face Chittagong Kings in 2nd Qualifier for Spot in BPL Final
Khulna Tigers have made a dominant statement by knocking out Rangpur Riders with a commanding 9-wicket victory. With this win, they have secured a spot in the second qualifier and are now just one step away from the final of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).
After their victory over Rangpur, Khulna now faces Chittagong Kings in the second qualifier. Chittagong, despite losing in the first qualifier, still have an opportunity to reach the final. Whoever wins this match will proceed to face Fortune Barishal in the championship clash.
Khulna Tigers have kept the same playing XI unchanged, despite a defeat to Fortune Barishal in the previous match. Chittagong Kings, however, made one change. In place of the injured Haider Ali, the team has brought in pace-bowling all-rounder Hussain Talat.
As for Chittagong Kings, they also maintain the same squad for this crucial encounter, determined to get another shot at the final. Having tasted victory and defeat against Khulna in their earlier league encounters, both teams are looking to continue their momentum and secure a place in the ultimate showdown.
In the league stage, Khulna and Chittagong have won one match each when the two sides met. In the first match, Khulna Tigers scored 203 runs to win by 37 runs. However, in the second encounter, Chittagong Kings set a target of 200 runs and defeated Khulna by 45 runs.
