Kamran Akmal Sparks Controversy with Latest Remarks

Kamran Akmal compared his brother Umar Akmal to one of India's best batters, Virat Kohli. On a popular Pakistani television show, Kamran Akmal said that if Umar Akmal had been properly promoted, he could have achieved as much for the team as Virat Kohli.

Kamran Akmal stated, "I saw Umar and Virat Kohli’s statistics in the T20 World Cup yesterday. Despite being a much younger player than Kohli, Umar's strike rate and the number of runs were higher than Kohli’s."

Kamran Akmal further added, "We don’t have any public relations company, nor do we spread these statistics on social media. If the statistics Umar has were possessed by any of the 15 cricketers going to the World Cup, it would create a lot of trouble."

Meanwhile, Pakistan's dream of making it to the Super Eight was washed away with the rain last night in Lauderhill, Florida. Having lost 2 out of their first 3 matches, Babar Azam’s team was already on the brink of elimination.
