Former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan has chosen his favorite squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup. Indian players have been performing well in the ongoing IPL season. Selecting players for certain positions will require the selectors to contemplate repeatedly. Among them, former player Irfan Pathan has expressed his own opinion.

In Pathan's squad, Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal will play the role of openers. Additionally, Shubman Gill has been included. Gill will serve as the backup opener in the squad. Meanwhile, Virat Kohli remains in this squad, currently opening for the Royal Challengers Bangalore and displaying outstanding performances.

Suryakumar Yadav and Rinku Singh are part of this 15-member squad. Both are batting in the middle order. Suryakumar has returned from injury, representing the Mumbai Indians. On the other hand, Rinku has been playing the finishing role for the Kolkata Knight Riders.

In a major tournament, at least two wicketkeepers are kept in the squad. Pathan has selected only one, Rishabh Pant. Coming back from a major setback, Pant is leading the Delhi Capitals and has scored 254 runs in 8 matches so far. Pant's position in the squad is highly anticipated.

Pathan's squad also includes all-rounders: Hardik Pandya, Shivam Dube, and Ravindra Jadeja. Dube is in great form playing for the Chennai Super Kings this season.

Two spinners have been included in the squad: Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal. Both have shown good form in the IPL. Additionally, three pacers have been spotted in Pathan's squad: Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, and Arshdeep Singh. Siraj and Arshdeep's form is a cause for concern.
