This month, India will host Bangladesh for two Tests on home soil. The BCCI will announce India's Test squad after the first round of the Duleep Trophy. India will play their first Test against Bangladesh in Chennai starting September 19.

Before the first Test, India's red-ball players will begin practice at Chepauk on September 12. Najmul Hossain Shanto's team is scheduled to start their practice at the same venue from September 15.

The BCCI has yet to announce the squad for the two-Test series against Bangladesh. The announcement is expected to be made after the first round of the Duleep Trophy, which will be held from September 5 to 8 in Bangalore and Anantapur.

The squad is expected to include Shubman Gill, KL Rahul, Dhruv Jurel, Kuldeep Yadav, Aakash Deep, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sarfaraz Khan, Rishabh Pant, Mukesh Kumar, Shreyas Iyer, Arshdeep Singh, and KS Bharat.

Other Test hopefuls such as Abhimanyu Easwaran, Devdutt Padikkal, Sai Sudharsan, and bowlers Sai Kishore, Sourabh Kumar, and Yash Dayal will also participate in the beginning of the Duleep Trophy.

India's last Test series was against England on home soil in February-March, which they won 4-1 under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma.

Bangladesh recently won a historic Test series against Pakistan in Rawalpindi and is eager to bring that confidence to Chennai. Bangladesh is currently in the top four of the Test Championship table, having been 8th before the Pakistan series.

India, with 68.52 percent points, is at the top of the table and will hope to strengthen their position further with the series against Bangladesh.
