Grand Unveiling of NCL T20 Logo, Tournament Schedule and Broadcast

Focusing on the T20 format, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is set to host another exciting T20 tournament—NCL T20. The logo of the tournament was unveiled in a grand ceremony on Saturday at a five-star hotel in Dhaka.

The tournament's title sponsor is Al-Arafah Islami Bank, officially naming it the Al-Arafah Islami Bank NCL T20, powered by Walton.

Presence at the Ceremony

The logo unveiling event saw the presence of BCB President Faruque Ahmed and BCB Director Fahim Sinha. Joining them were:

Mr. Farman R. Chowdhury, Managing Director and CEO of Al-Arafah Islami Bank PLC.
Mr. Aminul Islam Khan, Senior Executive Director of Walton Hi-Tech Industries Limited.
Siam Ahmed, the brand ambassador of silver partner Remark Harlon Group and a renowned film star.

Platform for Local Talents

Highlighting the tournament's purpose, BCB President Faruque Ahmed stated: "This tournament serves as a platform for local players to prove themselves ahead of the BPL. I hope our cricketers seize this opportunity to showcase their talents, contributing to the progress of Bangladesh cricket and elevating our standing in T20s."

Mr. Farman R. Chowdhury emphasized the importance of sports sponsorship, saying: "Understanding the significance of sports, we have previously supported marathons, hockey, kabaddi, squash, and more. Now, we are proud to support the NCL T20. Cricket is undoubtedly the most popular sport in Bangladesh today and has placed us on a prestigious platform internationally. Our youth are passionate about cricket, and immense talent lies within both our male and female players. We need to scout such talents from every corner of the country."

Aminul Islam Khan from Walton added: "Walton has always been, and will continue to be, a supporter of Bangladesh cricket. The NCL T20 is a tournament for local players, and Walton, being a Bangladeshi brand, remains dedicated to working for the people of this country."

Actor Siam Ahmed shared his enthusiasm: "Cricket is my favorite sport, and I used to play as well. Remark has introduced a new era in the cosmetics experience for Bangladeshis. I am excited to partner with the NCL T20 and look forward to a long journey together."

Tournament Schedule and Broadcast

The NCL T20 will take place from December 11 to December 24. Seven teams from the National Cricket League—Dhaka, Chattogram, Khulna, Rajshahi, Barishal, Rangpur, Sylhet—and Dhaka Metro will compete.

The league stage will be held at the Sylhet Divisional Stadium and its outer ground. The playoffs and the final match on December 24 will take place at Dhaka's iconic Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Mirpur.

All matches of the 2024-25 NCL T20 will be broadcast live on T-Sports. Fans can also stream matches on the T-Sports app, the OTT platform FanCode in India, and the T-Sports YouTube channel globally.

Much like the BPL, the NCL T20 will now be an annual event!
