Disappointed Shanto praised Hasan,Mehidy, Shakib

Bangladesh tasted defeat once again in the Test match against Sri Lanka in Chattogram after their loss in Sylhet. The Bangladesh cricket team couldn't capitalize on the opportunity in Chattogram either. Captain Najmul Hossain Shanto expressed his disappointment openly. Despite the efforts of the cricketers on the field, they couldn't achieve big scores, which left Shanto disheartened. He mentioned the need for more focus on first-class cricket during the post match presentation.

Bangladesh couldn't chase down Sri Lanka's target of 511 runs, ending up with a loss in the match. The disappointment of defeat has left the team feeling low, especially after falling short by 192 runs. It's evident that the team's performance wasn't up to the mark. 

Speaking after the match, Shanto said, "If you watch our batting, everyone got set but we couldn't achieve big scores. This is a matter of concern. If you get set, you must score big. We need to play more first-class cricket."

Individual performances of Mominul, Shakib Al Hasan, and Miraz were highlighted. Mominul scored 50 runs, Shakib scored 36 runs, and Liton Das scored 38 runs. Only Mehidy Hasan Miraz remained unbeaten with an impressive innings of 81 runs. The others failed to carry on despite good starts, leaving Shanto disappointed, emphasizing the importance of playing more first-class cricket.

Shanto praised Hasan Mahmud, Shakib, and Miraz for their performances, saying, "Hasan Mahmud's bowling was promising. Shakib bhai's all-round performance was good, and Mehidy Hasan also batted well."
