Mohorom Hossain Mohin, a left-arm spinner like Shakib Al Hasan, was once considered a promising talent who could potentially bring glory to the Bangladesh national cricket team in the future. However, his journey was tragically cut short at the under-18 level. The rising star of cricket, Muhin, has passed away, bidding farewell to the cricket field forever.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed his death in a press release. Muhin was set to play in the National U-18 Young Tigers Tournament in Cox's Bazar starting Monday. He had been preparing for this tournament and was focused on performing well at the divisional level in hopes of making it to the national U-18 team. The Dhaka South team was in Faridpur preparing for the national competition, and they had departed for Cox's Bazar on Friday. However, on Thursday afternoon, Muhin began experiencing severe stomach pain and could not travel with the team. He was admitted to Faridpur Medical Hospital.

When his condition did not improve, he was transferred to Central General Hospital in Dhaka on Friday night. After being further transferred to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, Muhin underwent surgery for three hours. The operation revealed that his esophagus had ruptured, causing blood and other fluids to mix into his stomach, which made the surgery more complicated.

Sadly, after being placed in the ICU, the 17-year-old Muhin never regained consciousness. He passed away on Saturday night.

In his final match for the Dhaka South U-18 team, he had taken 5 wickets against the Madaripur U-18 team. Over five matches, the left-arm spinner had claimed a total of 16 wickets at the age of just 17.
