In the 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL), Nahid Rana has become the first Bangladeshi cricketer to be selected for a team. The Peshawar Zalmi franchise picked him from the Players' Draft Gold Category. Currently, in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), Nahid Rana has been in excellent rhythm with the ball while playing for the Rangpur Riders, and this will be his first venture into an overseas league.
In the upcoming Pakistan Super League, Bangladesh's young pace bowler Nahid Rana will be seen representing Peshawar Zalmi and making his mark in the tournament. He will join notable players in the Peshawar team, including Babar Azam, Saim Ayub, Tom Kohler-Cadmore, and Mohammad Haris.
Peshawar Zalmi announced the addition of Nahid Rana to their squad in the Gold Category, calling him the "Speed Star from Bangladesh."
On the other hand, players in the Platinum Category, such as Shakib Al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman, did not secure spots in any team. Additionally, players in the Diamond Category, including Hasan Mahmud, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Taskin Ahmed, Towhid Hridoy, and others, were also not picked.
Along with Nahid Rana, other Bangladeshi players in the Gold Category included, Mehedi Hasan, Mahmudullah Riyad, Muktar Ali, Mosaddek Hossain, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Parvez Hossain Emon, Ripon Mondol, Soumya Sarkar, and Taijul Islam. However, it was only Nahid Rana who earned a spot in the PSL this season.
