Pakistan Secures Massive 127-Run Victory Over West Indies in Multan Test

Pakistan has claimed a resounding 127-run victory over the West Indies in the Multan Test, which concluded in just three days, making it the shortest Test match played on Pakistani soil. Across the four innings of the match, a total of 177.2 overs were bowled, resulting in 40 wickets falling.

Winning the toss and opting to bat first, Pakistan posted 230 runs before being all-out in their first innings. Saud Shakeel scored 84 runs, while Mohammad Rizwan contributed 71. West Indies’ Jaden Seales and Jomel Warrican each claimed three wickets.

In response, the West Indies were demolished by Pakistan's spinners, being bowled out for just 137 runs in their first innings. The highest score for the West Indies came from Warrican, who made 31 runs. Pakistan’s spinners Noman Ali and Sajid Khan wreaked havoc, taking 5 and 4 wickets, respectively.

Pakistan, leading by 93 runs, returned to bat in their second innings but once again faltered with the bat. They were dismissed for 157 runs, with Shan Masood top-scoring with 52 runs and Mohammad Huraira contributing 29. Jomel Warrican single-handedly dismantled Pakistan’s batting lineup, taking 7 wickets for just 32 runs.

Chasing a target of 251 in their second innings, the West Indies' pursuit crumbled as they were bowled out for only 123 runs. Apart from Allick Athanaze’s 55, no other batter could make a significant contribution. Pakistan’s Sajid Khan took a five-wicket haul in the second innings, while Abrar Ahmed claimed 4 wickets, sealing the win for the hosts.
