Bangladesh U-19 World Cup Winner Prantik Nawrose Nabil Retires at 21 Due to Health Issues

Prantik Nawrose Nabil, a member of Bangladesh's historic U-19 World Cup-winning team, has announced his retirement from all forms of cricket at just 21 years old. While he initially cited personal reasons for his retirement, it later emerged that serious health concerns were behind his decision.

Nabil has been suffering from asthma and severe dust allergies for an extended period. According to local and international medical advice, continuing his cricket career posed a significant health risk. The exposure to dust and physical exertion would likely have worsened his condition, prompting him to make this difficult decision.

The right-handed batsman was an integral part of Bangladesh’s U-19 team that triumphed in the 2020 ICC U-19 World Cup. He has informed the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) of his retirement.

Although his sudden retirement is a sad moment for Bangladesh's cricket fans, Nabil has made this tough decision with his health and future well-being in mind.
