BPL 2025: Sylhet Strikers
The Sylhet Strikers have acquired a total of 11 players from the BPL players' draft. Mashrafe Bin Mortoza is set to play for the Sylhet Strikers in the BPL for the third consecutive time. Although he was not retained, the franchise signed him from the players' draft. The biggest surprise for the Sylhet franchise was the addition of Caribbean player Rahkeem Cornwall.
In the players' draft, Sylhet signed Mashrafe from Category 'B', which had a valuation of 4 million BDT. Earlier, the franchise added local talent Jaker Ali Anik through a direct contract. They retained Zakir Hasan and Tanzim Hasan Sakib, who played in the previous season.
Besides Mashrafe, Sylhet acquired opening batsman Ronny Talukdar, pacer Al-Amin Hossain, spinner Arfat Sunny, Ruel Mia, Ariful Haque, Nihaduzzaman, and Nahidul Islam from the draft, strengthening their spin attack.
Alongside Paul Stirling and George Munsey, West Indies' Rahkeem Cornwall, Afghan batter Samiullah Shenwari, and English pacer Reece Topley will represent Sylhet in the BPL.
