BCB Director Khaled Mahmud Sujon Resigns
Khaled Mahmud Sujon, a director of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), has resigned from his position. Sujon's resignation comes following a change in government and the departure of Naeemur Rahman Durjoy, who was among the elected directors of the board under former BCB President Nazmul Hassan.
Khaled Mahmud Sujon, a former captain of the national team, submitted his resignation letter today, Wednesday, September 11.
In addition, Jalal Yunus, a director appointed by the National Sports Council (NSC), has also stepped down at the NSC's request. Another NSC-appointed director, Ahmed Sazzadul Alam, did not resign voluntarily, but the NSC has annulled his appointment and appointed a new director in his place. Faruk Ahmed and Nazmul Abedin have been appointed as new directors of the BCB. Former national captain Faruk Ahmed was later elected unopposed as the board president by the board of directors.
