Another Disappointing Day for Bangladesh in Sylhet

In the first innings, Sri Lankans dominated Bangladesh with their pace attack, restricting them to 188 runs after Sri Lanka scored a solid 280 runs all out. Bangladesh, trailing by 92 runs, managed to take the lead in their second innings, reaching 211 runs before Sri Lanka concluded the play of the second day.

Nahid Rana and Khaled Ahmed proved to be formidable with the ball, claiming 2 wickets each as Sri Lanka struggled at 19 runs for the loss of 1 wicket before tea. The lower-order batsmen of Bangladesh, comprising Taijul, Khaled, Shariful, and Nahid Rana, collectively contributed 84 runs, while the rest of the top and middle-order batsmen could only manage 85 runs combined. Taijul Islam's 47 runs was the highest individual score for Bangladesh in the first innings.

After Bangladesh's disappointing batting display in the first innings, Sri Lanka again took to the batting crease. They lost the first two wickets before reaching 28 runs, with Nahid Rana claiming both wickets. However, Sri Lanka stabilized their innings, building a lead of 211 runs by the end of the day.
