Bangladesh lose an early wicket yet again

On a batting-friendly pitch in Chattogram, Bangladesh's batting lineup faltered once again, managing only 159 runs against South Africa's commanding first innings total of 575. After being bowled out in the first innings, Bangladesh faced the follow-on, resuming their second innings with an immediate setback as opener Sadaman Islam departed for just 6 runs.

The opening partnership was broken early, with Bangladesh scoring only 15 runs before Sadaman was dismissed. He had previously faced a duck in the first innings, adding to his struggles. Mahmudul Hasan Joy joined Zakir Hasan at the crease as Bangladesh looked to stabilize after losing an early wicket.

In the first innings, a remarkable partnership between Taijul Islam and Mominul Haque, who added 103 runs for the ninth wicket, was the highlight for Bangladesh.
