The first Test match between Bangladesh and South Africa has commenced at Mirpur. After whitewashing Pakistan in the previous series, Bangladesh faced a whitewash themselves during their tour of India. Now, they are ready to seek redemption on home soil against South Africa.
Captained by Najmul Hossain Shanto, Bangladesh won the toss and opted to bat first. This match marks the return of Test cricket to Mirpur after nearly 11 months.
