Ahead of their second Super Four clash in the Asia Cup, India and Bangladesh are set to face off in a match crucial for their path to the final. On the eve of the game, India’s camp exuded caution, emphasizing the need to respect their opponents. Assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate highlighted Bangladesh’s strengths, singling out Mustafizur Rahman for special praise.

At a press conference on Tuesday, ten Doeschate said, “Mustafiz is an exceptional bowler. He is a champion. We highly rate him. Performing consistently at the international level is not easy, but he has proven himself. He has done it not just for the national team but also in the IPL. He is a phenomenal bowler.”

Beyond Mustafiz, the assistant coach also commended Bangladesh’s overall progress, describing the Tigers as a rising side. “Bangladesh is a rising team. They are adapting well to the new T20 style. They have several attacking players, and we respect them as opponents,” he added.

Despite the caution, India’s objective is clear: field their strongest side. Ten Doeschate confirmed, “Against Bangladesh, we will field our best team tomorrow.”

Such remarks are sure to inspire the Bangladesh camp, especially as the warning about Mustafiz underscores that Bangladesh can no longer be taken lightly. The Super Four encounter promises to be a high-stakes clash, where a win could virtually secure a place in the final for either team.
