Yusuf Pathan makes his electoral debut with a victory

International T20 debut in the final of the 2007 T20 World Cup. Yusuf Pathan gave India a good start with an innings of 15 runs in 8 balls. He gave away just 5 runs in 1 over. India defeated Pakistan in the final. His younger brother Irfan Pathan was adjudged the Man of the Match. 

Yusuf Pathan has the experience of winning on debut. Politics is no exception. For the first time on the field. Yusuf Pathan had contested the Lok Sabha elections from West Bengal's Baharampur constituency on a Trinamool Congress (TMC) ticket. 

His main opponent was Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, the leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha.

Yusuf Pathan has won after the official results were announced today (June 4). He received 5,24,516 votes. His nearest rival Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury got 4,39,494 votes. 

Yusuf Pathan won by 85,022 votes and became a member of the Lok Sabha.

After winning the 2007 T20 World Cup as an Indian cricketer, Yusuf Pathan also won the 50-over World Cup in 2011. Therefore, it is not surprising if his success story continues for a long time in the field of politics.
