The Pakistan cricket team's exit bell is ringing in the T20 World Cup. The team, which played in the final in the last tournament, first lost to an inexperienced United States and then to arch-rival India. These two unexpected losses have almost knocked Babar Azam's team out of the tournament.

Criticism of Pakistan's players, especially captain Babar Azam, has been ongoing for several days. Now, former Pakistani cricketer Ahmed Shehzad has joined the chorus of criticism. Expressing his anger towards Babar, Shehzad said,

"Look at Babar's scores, statistics, averages, and strike rate in big tournaments. What kind of king is Babar Azam! What do I do with such a king who can't win matches? Is there any statistic showing that his big scores have come during the team's losses?"

According to Shehzad, Babar Azam cannot score runs against big teams; the runs he does score are against lower-tier teams. Shehzad said, "Babar fools people by scoring against B, C, D-grade teams. PCB has increased his salary to improve his game, but he spends that money on social media to enhance his image and nothing else."

The former Pakistani cricketer also accused Babar of nepotism. Directly blaming Babar for harming Pakistan cricket, Shehzad said,

"Babar has taken his friends into the team and given them 40 matches to prove their worth. This is damaging Pakistan cricket. Even if you give 40 matches to a 40-year-old Imran Nazir, he will perform. Our domestic performers are being ignored. They are leaving the country and going to play cricket in the United States and the UAE."
