West Indies win the toss and elect to field first vs Bangladesh, 1st T20I
After the Test and ODI series, Bangladesh is now gearing up for the T20 series against host West Indies. In the first T20 match at the Arnos Vale Stadium in Kingstown, Saint Vincent, West Indies won the toss and chose to bowl first.
The match will begin at 6 AM (Bangladesh time) and will be the first encounter between the two teams in the T20 series. Despite losing the toss in his debut as captain, Bangladesh’s Litton Das has decided to bat first.
Regular captain Najmul Hossain Shanto is missing the entire West Indies tour due to injury. While Mehidy Hasan Miraz led the team in the Test and ODI series, Litton Das has been handed the captaincy for the T20 series.
So far, Bangladesh has faced West Indies 16 times in international T20s, losing 9 of those encounters. On West Indies' home soil, Bangladesh has played 8 T20 matches, winning 4 and losing 4.
