Under-19 Asia Cup Schedule Announced: Defending Champion Bangladesh in Group B
The upcoming ACC Under-19 Asia Cup will take place in Dubai and Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. The tournament will kick off with the match between defending champion Bangladesh and Afghanistan on November 29 and conclude with the final on December 8, crowning Asia’s youth cricket champions.
Today (November 8), the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) released the detailed schedule for the 2024 Under-19 Asia Cup. Bangladesh, the reigning champion from the 2023 edition, is placed in Group B along with Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Nepal.
Group Divisions:
Group A: India, Pakistan, UAE, Japan
Group B: Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Nepal
The top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals.
Notably, India has dominated the Under-19 Asia Cup with eight titles in the tournament’s 10 editions (joint champions with Pakistan once). Pakistan (jointly with India in 2012), Afghanistan, and Bangladesh each have one title.
