Top Batters in T20 World Cup 2024: No Bangladeshis in the List

In the recently concluded T20 World Cup, the top 10 run-scorers include two from India, two from Afghanistan, two from South Africa, and one each from Australia, England, the United States, and the West Indies. At the top of the list is Afghan batsman Rahmanullah Gurbaz, who scored 281 runs at an average of 35.12 in 8 matches. World Cup-winning captain Rohit Sharma is in the second position with 257 runs from the same number of matches. Australian opener Travis Head ranks third, having scored 255 runs in 7 matches.

South African Quinton de Kock, who led his team to the final, amassed 243 runs in 9 matches with an average of 27. Afghan batter Ibrahim Zadran is in the fifth spot with 231 runs. Following him is the only West Indian in the list, Nicholas Pooran, with 228 runs in 7 matches.

Making a surprising entry into the top 8 for the first time, Andries Gous from the United States also found a place on this list. He scored 219 runs in 6 matches, with an impressive average of 43.80, the highest in the list.

England captain Jos Buttler is in the eighth position with 214 runs in 7 innings. India’s Suryakumar Yadav ranks ninth with 199 runs. South African batsman Heinrich Klaasen, with 190 runs in 8 innings, rounds off the top 10 run-scorers.
