Tilak Varma to lead India in ACC Men's Emerging Teams T20 Asia Cup
India has announced a strong 15-member squad for the upcoming Emerging Asia Cup, with Tilak Varma set to lead the India 'A' team. The tournament will commence on October 18.
Among the squad members is Abhishek Sharma, who has been making waves in the IPL and has also represented the national team. This will be his second consecutive appearance in the Emerging Asia Cup.
The squad also features batters Ayush Badoni, all-rounder Nishant Sindhu, and explosive hitter Nehal Wadhera. The bowling attack will be spearheaded by fast bowler Vaibhav Aurora, along with promising pacer Rasikh Salam.
In the spin department, Rahul Chahar and Sai Kishore are included in the lineup. India will play their first match of the Emerging Asia Cup against Pakistan on October 19.
This sixth edition of the Emerging Asia Cup consists of eight teams divided into two groups of four. Group A includes India, Pakistan, UAE, and Oman, while Group B features Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and Hong Kong. The final is scheduled to take place on October 27.
