Bangladesh has played the most series against Zimbabwe. Although the two teams were equally placed in the past, Bangladesh is now slightly ahead. So, if they win, there isn't much praise, but if they lose, criticism follows.
Today, Tigers' pacer Taskin Ahmed expressed this sentiment. Speaking at a press conference before the fourth T20I against Zimbabwe, Taskin said,
"No matter what is said about Zimbabwe... if we lose a match, then different talks emerge - that we lost to Zimbabwe. If we win, credit diminishes. Unfortunately, we have to hear various kinds of things."
Although Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto, didn't shine with the bat against Zimbabwe, he has impressed Taskin with his leadership qualities.
Taskin said, "I have really enjoyed the last two series. There is progress, and leadership is also there. Now, the team's culture is very good. Everyone is trying to figure out how to perform better on and off the field. Since we have less genetic power, how to utilize the gap to score more runs, bowl well. Everyone is striving for improvement. Everyone in the team is 19-20 in terms of skills. No one is 19-20."
