T20 World Cup: A Record Held Only by Shakib Al Hasan and Rohit Sharma

The ICC T20 World Cup, a battle for supremacy in the 20-over format. There were eight editions in this prestigious event in the past. In June this year, West Indies and the United States will host the 9th edition.

Only two cricketers have played in all eight previous editions held in 2007, 2009, 2010, 2014, 2016, 2021, and 2022 - India's Rohit Sharma and Bangladesh's Shakib Al Hasan.

India has announced its team for the 2024 ICC T20 World Cup, with Rohit Sharma as the captain. So, if all goes well, he will play in the 9th T20 World Cup.

On the other hand, Bangladesh has not yet announced its World Cup squad. However, assuming Shakib Al Hasan is included in the squad upon announcement, he will play in his record 9th T20 World Cup.
