Sylhet Titans Clinch 6-Wicket Win as Noakhali Express Batting Collapses

In the Bangladesh Premier League, Sylhet Titans defeated Noakhali Express by 6 wickets. At the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, Noakhali’s rare batting collapse saw them restricted to just 61 runs, making the target easily achievable for Sylhet.

Noakhali Express won the toss and elected to bat first, but their innings never got going. From the start, the batsmen struggled under team pressure and lost confidence. Habibur Rahman Sohan top-scored with 18 runs, while Soumya Sarkar fell for a single-digit score.

Mahidul Islam Ankon tried to fight back but failed to convert it into a substantial innings, scoring the team’s highest 25 runs. As a result, Noakhali Express were bowled out for 61 in just 14.2 overs.

For Sylhet, Nasum Ahmed produced an outstanding bowling performance, being a key factor in Noakhali’s batting collapse. He bowled 4 overs, conceding only 7 runs and claiming five wickets.

In reply, Sylhet Titans chased down the target in just 8.4 overs, losing 4 wickets. Parvez Emon was dismissed early, but Zakir Hasan and Towfiq Khan added a crucial 53-run partnership to bring the team close to victory. Towfiq scored 32 runs off 18 balls, while Zakir made 24 off 23 balls.

Despite Zahir Khan taking 3 wickets for Noakhali, Sylhet’s win was never in doubt. The Titans secured victory with 4 wickets down in just 8.4 overs.
