Fortune Barishal have won the toss and have opted to field

Today's BPL action features two exciting matches, with the night's big match being between Sylhet Strikers and Fortune Barishal. Last night, Barishal claimed a 7-wicket victory over Rajshahi, thanks to a stunning 86-run knock by Tamim Iqbal. The home crowd, who witnessed a defeat in the opening match, are hoping for a turnaround from Sylhet today.

Sylhet, so far, have lost their opening two matches in this season of BPL. They were defeated twice by Rangpur Riders in back-to-back games. In the first match, despite posting a competitive total of 205 runs, Sylhet lost to Rangpur by 8 wickets with one over remaining.

In contrast, Fortune Barishal come into this match with confidence after a great win against Rajshahi Kings last night. Tamim Iqbal's powerful 86 runs off 48 balls, which included 11 fours and 3 sixes, led Barishal to a dominant victory. This was their second win against Rajshahi in this BPL season.

Despite being left out of the last match, National Team Captain Nazmul Hossain Shanto is again not in the playing XI today. Pritam Kumar, who has been struggling, remains in the squad, hoping for a much-needed breakthrough. Mushfiqur Rahim is still recovering from an injury and will not be keeping wickets today.
