Sunrisers Hyderabad made it so easy

Sunrisers Hyderabad pulled off a stunning victory against the Lucknow Super Giants. They achieved the target of 166 runs without losing any wickets, with 62 balls to spare. Initially set to bat, Lucknow Super Giants stopped at 165 runs in the designated 20 overs. Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma completely changed the scene in favor of Hyderabad.

The competition seemed to intensify beyond the field for the Sunrisers. Within the tournament, there's a sense of rivalry among teams to see who can gather the most collective performances. This was evident in Wednesday night's match.

An Australian and an Indian – this opening pair instilled confidence in Hyderabad. Head and Abhishek led the team to victory. Winning can happen in various ways, but they seemed to have decided to win in a very short time. Hence, just 9.4 overs! There's no shortage of surprises here.

The bowlers of Sunrisers didn't let any batsman spend less on runs. At the end of the match, Abhishek batted at a strike rate of 267.85. He gathered 75 runs off 28 balls, including 6 sixes and 8 fours. Head went a step further. Batting at a strike rate of 296.66, he scored 89 runs off 30 balls, where he hit 8 sixes and 8 fours.

Before them, the Sunrisers' batters struggled initially. After winning the toss and choosing to bat, the team lost Quinton de Kock and Marcus Stoinis for just 21 runs. Despite Lokesh Rahul's efforts, it didn't work out. He ended the innings with 29 runs off 33 balls, delivered by Pat Cummins.

When Krunal Pandya was dismissed, Sunrisers Hyderabad found themselves at 66 runs for 4 wickets. It was the 12th over of the game. From there, Nicholas Pooran and Ayush Badoni steered the team to a respectable position.

Both Pooran and Badoni remained unbeaten. Pooran scored 48 runs off 26 balls, while Badoni played an innings of 55 runs off 30 balls.

On behalf of Sunrisers Hyderabad, Bhuvneshwar Kumar collected two wickets.
