Shakib Khan Reflects on Team's Journey

In the first match of the day in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), Khulna Tigers secured their place in the playoffs with a decisive victory over Dhaka Capitals. While the match was crucial for Khulna, it was merely a formality for Dhaka, who had already been eliminated from the playoff race.

Despite the presence of Dhaka's team owner, actor Shakib Khan, in the stands, the team failed to turn their fortunes around. Following the conclusion of the 2025 BPL season, Shakib Khan took to his verified Facebook page to share his thoughts, expressing his gratitude and optimism for the future.

Dhaka Capitals, having struggled throughout the season, ended the league phase with only three wins out of 12 matches. Shakib Khan, who was present at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur for the last match, reflected on the team’s journey, acknowledging both the challenges and experiences of participating in such a prestigious tournament for the first time.

He wrote: "This year, we had the opportunity to participate in the BPL with the Dhaka Capitals team. It was a new experience for us, and a new challenge. We gave our best efforts in this debut tournament. As it’s our first time, we’ve encountered new experiences in every aspect."

Shakib continued: "For those of you who support me, you know that I never lose in your selfless love; I either win, or I learn! Perhaps in the future, we will come back stronger, more aggressive, and better prepared to win — that is our promise."

Expressing gratitude to the players, team management, supporters, and sponsors, he added: "I would like to sincerely thank the players of Dhaka Capitals, the team management, supporters, and everyone involved.
